"Burial services were held here Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Eva Calvin Ewing, 79, of Youngstown who died Thursday evening in the North Side unit of Youngstown hospital following a short illness.

Mrs. Ewing was born Oct. 29th, 1872, in Annapolis, Ill., a daughter of Allen and Laura Reese Calvin. When she was a small child the family came to Canfield, where her father operated a grist mill, and this was her home until her marriage to J. Calvin Ewing in the early ‘90's. Judge Ewing died in 1937. Mrs. Ewing was an active member of Tabernacle United Presbyterian church, the Youngstown Hospital Association Board, and Youngstown Garden Club, as well as social and study clubs.
