Diehl Vaughn Keeney, 77, of Mayo, SC, died at 7:05 PM, Thursday, September 18, 1975, in Spartanburg General Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Spartanburg County, SC; son of the late Prof. Robert and Camellia Arthur Keeney; husband of Sara Foster Keeney.
A member of Cherokee Springs United Methodist Church; retired carpenter; and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 135.
Survived by daughters, Florence Easler, Sadie Phillips, Mary Newton; sons, Robert S. Keeney, Leroy H. Keeney, James A. Keeny; brother, Marvin F Keeney; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 20, 1975, at Forest Lawn Mortuary Chapel by the Revs. Morris Thompson and L. T. Langford with Masonic rites.
