BRISTOL: Dorothy Green, 93, of the Bristol Valley Road, died December 31, 2010 at Thompson Hospital.
Dorothy was born in South Bristol on Nov. 12, 1917 to the late Elmer and Anna Randall Standish. She had owned and operated Dorothy's Beauty Shop for over 50 years. Dorothy was a forty-four year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Honeoye Chapter #350, a seventy-four year member and Circle Mother of the Bristol Harmony Circle, a fifty year member of the Golden Sheaf of the South Bristol Grange, a former Regent with the Daughters of the American Revolution, Naples Chapter (Kiandaga), a member of the NYS Sheriff's Association and a proud member of Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc., New York Chapter One.
The widow of Robert A. Green who died in 1986, she is survived by her children Elizabeth and Roger DeHond, Williamson, Philip R. and Joan Green and Robert A. and Linda Green, Jr. all of Bristol, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a great great grandson, her sister Doris Brahm of South Bristol and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Private family services will be held at the Funeral Home and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to the Evergreen Cemetery Association, 7177 County Road 2, Bloomfield, NY 14469, the Bristol Volunteer Fire Department, 4350 Rte. 64, Canandaigua, NY 14424"
