Mrs. Clinton L. Lucas died at her home in the Fifth ward at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Mrs. Lucas, nee Nora Bentley, was born in Mason City May 23, 1870. For twenty two years she has resided in Boone. On March 12, 1887 she became the wife of C.L. Lucas. Besides a husband, she leaves two children, a boy of nine years and babe of one week, father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. M.L. Bentley and two brothers, George of this city and William of Des Moines. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Free Methodist church in the Fifth ward, Revs Allen and Crawford officiating, and the remains interred in East Linwood.
