Dan was a Coast Guard Veteran, serving in Alaska and Key West. Dan's other passion was fitness. He ran the Oklahoma City Marathon, and was currently training for IRONMAN Texas in Houston. He most recently resided in Dallas TX where he graduated from Richland College, achieving membership in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. He currently was employed as a Supervisor for DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit).
He enjoyed playing bass and guitar, and most of all, spending time with his wife and soulmate, C., whom he married on May 2, 2008. His dream was to make a home in the country outside Dallas for the two of them.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Blanche Huff and Glenn and Emmadean Dillingham.
He is survived by his wife, C. Dillingham, his parents, J. and M. Dillingham, his sister and brother-in-law, M. J. and B. Durant, and his nephews, J. and B. Durant. He is deeply missed by all of them. He will be remembered at a funeral service in Dallas at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, and a funeral service in Stillwater at First Presbyterian Church at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12. Dan will be laid to rest at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater.
