High Point - Willard Brock 'Tex' Sadler, 80, of 3405 Pine Valley Road, died Oct. 21, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
He was born March 16, 1920, in Troup, Texas, the son of Obie Brisco Sadler and Mary Irene Lindsey Sadler. He retired in July 1982 from Lyles Chevrolet after 32 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of Green Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Rebecca Pauline Sims, and a brother, Obie Joe Sadler.
He was first married June 30, 1945, to Lois Virginia Hunsucker and she preceded him in death on Oct. 12, 1993. On Sept. 14, 1995, he married his current wife and she survives of the home.
Also surviving are one daughter; two sons and daughters-in-law; two sisters; two brothers; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Sechrest Chapel on E. Lexington Avenue by the Rev. Gene Phillips. Interment will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Mr. Sadler will remain at Sechrest Funeral Home and the family will receive friends at the funeral home 7-8:30 tonight.
