Mrs. Addie Faye Bell Arp, age 97, of Sharpsburg, Georgia, formerly of Franklin, passed away at the Ashley Glenn Assisted Living in Peachtree City, Georgia, on Wednesday, March 6, 2013.
Funeral services for Mrs. Arp will be conducted on Saturday, March 9 at 11 a.m. from the Unity Baptist Church in Roosterville, Georgia, with Mrs. Arp's son, Reverend Terry Arp, officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive guests at the Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home in Franklin on Friday evening, March 8, from 6-8 p.m.
Mrs. Arp was born in Georgia on July 16, 1915, the daughter of the late Mary Liza Elenor Bivvens Bell and William Bell. Mrs. Arp was a faithful member of the Unity Baptist Church. "Miss Addie" devoted her whole life to caring for her family. The godly manner in which she raised her children has affected their lives, and that of all they come in contact with. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by eight daughters, Lunelle Tuggle of Roopville, GA, Virginia Teal (Junior), also of Roopville, GA, Marion Couch of Sharpsburg, GA, Brenda Redwine of Sharpsburg, GA, Evelyn Hawk (Tommy) Sharpsburg, GA, Sharon McKenzie (Doyle) of Sharpsburg, GA, Kay Mashburn (Stanley) of Sharpsburg, GA, and Kathy Bradley (Edwin) of Franklin, GA; three sons, Jimmy Arp of Atlanta, GA, Terry Arp (Patsy) of Fairburn, GA, and Samuel Arp of Villa Rica, GA; two sisters, twins, Allie Doyle, and Vannie Farr, both of Villa Rica, GA; one brother, George Bell of Great Falls, MT; and one hundred six grandchildren, great, and great-great grandchildren.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Sherman Arp.
