Pedro M. Romero, age 92, a resident of Trujillo, NM passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 surrounded by his loving family in Trujillo, NM. Pedro was born in Trementina, NM on January 20, 1921 to Rebecco Romero and Frutosa Maes-Romero. Pedro enjoyed taking care of his ranch, horseback riding and taking care of his animals. His two daughters were the love of his life, he also enjoyed being surrounded by his entire family and grandchildren. A lifetime Catholic, and member of San Isidro Catholic Church in Trujillo, NM and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM. Pedro was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, his wife, Sara Parson Romero, children, Lee Romero, Herman Romero, Dan Romero and Alvin Romero. Pedro is survived by his daughters and sons, Irene Martinez (Miguel) of Las Vegas, NM, Fred Romero and his wife, Pam of Trujillo, NM, Jerry Romero and his wife, Penny of Dalhart, TX, Sarah Quintana and her husband, Diego of Pecos, NM, Nick Romero and his lovely wife, Corrine of Las Vegas, NM and Richard Romero of Springtown, TX, brother, Alfredo Romero and his wife, Dilia of Denver, CO, daughters-in-law, Dolores Romero of Denver, CO, Vickie Romero of Albuquerque, NM and Missie Romero of Tucumcari, NM, good friend, Alfredo Gutierrez of Trujillo, NM, special nephews, Steve (Blas) Lucero, Reyes Montoya both of Las Vegas, NM, half brothers and sisters, Luis Romero, Albert Romero both of Dodge City, KS, Carlos Romero of Herford, TX, Ida Romero, Tomasita Romero and Angela Romero all of Las Vegas, NM, twenty-six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, numerous, nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors and many many friends. Rosary services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father George V. Salazar as Celebrant. Interment will follow at San Isidro Cemetery in Trujillo, NM with the following serving as Casket Bearers, Joey Martinez, Fred Romero, Herman Romero, D.J. Quintana, Joshua Romero and Nicholas Romero. Serving as Honorary Bearers will be Chance Romero, Peter Ulibarri, Phillip Romero, Larry Webb and all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
