Fillers, Marilyn D., of Cleveland, formerly of Madisonville, passed away 8 P.M. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Signature Health Care, Cleveland. A retired Professor Emeritus from Cleveland State Community College after teaching for 35 years. Loved to read and always kept her pulse on past history as well as current events in order to keep her teaching relevant. She will be greatly missed by her students and her many academic colleagues who became lifelong friends. Survivors, sister, Karen Cash, Marietta, Ga., Niece, Stacie Metcalfe, Atlanta, Ga., Nephews, Steven Maxwell, Maryville, Timothy Maxwell, Madisonville, Several great-nieces & great-nephews, Special cousin, Connie Sloan, Ga., Several other cousins, A very special friend, Martha Lane, Charleston. Preceded in death by parents, Carl & Katherine Billings Fillers. Graveside service & interment 11 A.M. Friday, Sunset Cemetery. Family will receive friends 7-9 P.M. Thursday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
