Burial of the body of Purn W. Eshom will be in the Pardee cemetery Thanksgiving day. The body of Mr. Eshom was cremated and the ashes were buried with a short service at the cemetery, conducted by the Rev. F. E. Buck of the Methodist church at Cummings. Mrs. Eshom was buried at the Pardee cemetery in 1905.
He was born and reared in the Cummings community and lived there until the last few years when he went west to be with his children. On April 29, 1880, he married Flora C. Reynolds, eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William T. Reynolds of Cummings. Eight children were born to them. Five of whom survive, they are: Harry and Ellis Eshom of Seattle; Blaine of Laurel, Mont.; Mrs. Lillie Gleason of Detroit, Mich.; and Ray Eshom of Los Angeles, Calif.
