Jobst Herman Bernhard Depperman of the Inez-Rogers, New Mexico, community passed away Thursday, June 4, 1942. He came to Roosevelt County in 1908 and filed upon the land which continued to be the family home and at the place where he passed away.

He and wife, to whom he was married in Illinois during 1885, lived on the farm. There are four children, all of whom survive, one son, Augustus lives at Hunter, MO, and the other three are residents of Roosevelt County; Herman and Lena Hofman are located on farms in the Dora vicinity and Peter John lives near Rogers.

Herman was born in Germany 70 years ago but for nearly sixty years has lived in the United States. He was a member of the Lutheran church but since no church of that denomination was in this community he contributed to the support of other denominations.

In addition to his wife and children he is survived by many grand children and some great grandchildren.
