Elzie M. Taylor

Funeral services for Elzie M. Taylor, 58, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Earnheart Chapel, conducted by Rev. Clayton Hicks and Rev. Lee H. Smith. Burial was in the City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Walter Fulp, Ford Kitchens, Jack Hughes, R.E. Blackerby, Jack Brown and F.C. Williams.

Mr. Taylor died at 11:30 p.m. Friday at his home on Savoy, route one, following a heart attack.

Born in the Canaan community north of Whitewright, Mr. Taylor was the son of the late John and Margaret Taylor. His wife is the former Gussie Means. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Floyd Taylor of Ector and W.M. Taylor of Whitewright; three daughters, Mrs. Oliver Robbins of Bells, Mrs. Merl Haden of Savoy and Mrs. Vernon Baker of Ector; three brothers, Walter Taylor of Okimah, Okla.; Ray Taylor of Telephone and Harvey Taylor of Greenville; three sisters, Mrs. Maud McCurdy of Whitewright; and Mrs. Bertha Ferguson and Mrs. Elouise Clement, both of California, and 11 grandchildren.
