Charles was the son of Ambrose Brookmire and Maria Fidelia Henry Corey. Ambrose was the son of Benjamin and Ruth Tanner Corey both of NY State, then WI, then MO. Mildred Lydia was the daughter of William D. and Lucinda Henry both born MA.
William's father, Charles Henry Sr. was born in Phelps Co MO 03 Nov 1876.
By 1903 Charles and Lydia were living in Coconino Co AZ, where their sons were all born. The sons all grew to manhood on the farm their father owned and operated.
William married, unk year, in AZ, Margaret Louise Carlyon, parents are unknown. Their marriage was blessed with daughter, Dione and son, William T. Corey.
Mildred died after 35 yrs of marriage. He then married Vida Christensen Corey of LaJara CO. There were no children by this marriage.
He worked as a shop foreman for the Navajo ordinance depot during WWII, then as a shop foreman for Coconini County. He owned the Flagstaff school buses for about 10 years and became an equipment operator for the City of Flagstaff.
He recently enjoyed working part-time for the U.S. Forest Service, and was a lifetime member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge #499 in Flagstaff, as well as an avid fisherman, deer and elk hunter.
