John Miles' parents were John Nicholas Wiggenton/Wigginton and Martha Miles. They were born in Monmouth, England and died in Wisconsin.

John married Elizabeth Ann Webb on 3 Jul 1862 in Wisconsin and they would have 7 children.

"J M Wigginton, merchant, farmer and Postmaster, Concord (Township); born in Monmouthshire, England on July 3, 1836; came to America with his parents in 1842, locating in Pewaukee, Wisc; after a few months they removed to Summit, Waukesha Co, Wisc and after a residence of one year they returned to Pewaukee and lived one year; they then settled in Concord.

Mr Wigginton began business for himself in 1867 and has been very successful; has a general stock; including dry goods, hats, caps, boots and shoes, groceries, drugs, hardware, paints and oils, farm implements, etc. Mr Wigginton owns 165 acres of land on Secs 10, 15 and 16; has the usual stock and crops and has for many years been extensive grower of hops. He married Miss Elizabeth A Webb on July 3, 1862; they have six children - William R, Mary F, John N, Edwin M, Walter W and Clara M.

Mr Wigginton is a Republican; has been Town Clerk and was appointed Postmaster September 11, 1865. He is well known as an enterprising business man and farmer of Jefferson Co, in which he has spent most of his life and been educated."

Elizabeth is in the Viroqua Cemetery and, hopefully, so is J M.
