Sue Jackson Abbott Jackson, 87, of 201 Westhigh Street, Cary, NC died Monday, March 4, 2013 at Western Wake Medical Center in Cary.
Born in South Hill, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Peter Franklin Jackson and Mattie Sue Taylor Jackson. She was the widow of Paul Jones Abbott and John Douglas Jackson Sr.
Mrs. Jackson was a retired Accountant at Overby Marine Sales. She was a member of Middleburg United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Oxford Chapter # 94 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., at Flowers Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
Surviving are three sons, Paul F. "Pete" Abbott and wife, Sandra of Asheboro, NC, Thomas A. "Andy" Abbott and wife Wanda of Apex, NC and Dr. John D. Jackson Jr. and wife Teresa of Clemmons, NC; five grandchildren, Tommy Abbott, Joy Trogdon, Leslie Desmond, Greg Abbott, and Michelle Jackson; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 10:00 to11:00 a.m., at Flowers Funeral Home.
