Susan Halvorson, 95, of LeSueur, formerly of Odin, died Feb. 27, 2013, at Minnesota Valley Health Care Center in LeSueur.

Funeral services were Friday at First Lutheran Church in LeSueur.

Interment was at St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery in Odin.

Susan Pankratz was born April 28, 1917, to John A. and Helena (Entz) Pankratz northwest of Mt. Lake in Selma Township. She attended country schools and achieved her GED at age 70.

In 1936, Susan married Harold Olson in Odin. They farmed in Delton Township for many years before moving to Young America in 1965. They lived and worked in Young America for 10 years before retiring to Cass Lake.

After Harold's death in 1983, Susan returned to Young America.

In 1987, she married Harris Halvorson in LeSueur, where they continued to live.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading, teaching and playing the card game, Ten Penny.

In addition to her first husband Harold, Susan was preceded in death by her second husband, Harris Halvorson in 1994; an infant son, Keith; a son-in-law, Don Kazemba; three brothers and eight sisters.

Survivors include her son, Kenneth (Diana) Olson of Vancouver, Wash.; two daughters, Janice (Duane) Myers of Danbury, Wis.; and Joyce (Alan) Krueger of Young America; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; step-children, Cayce Halvorson and Laurie Jo Hesseldahl; and a sister-in-law, Ruby Pankratz.
