Judy A. Gossett of Surrey, British Columbia, passed into the arms of her savior, Jesus, December 11, 2003, after being diagnosed with advanced abdominal cancer only three weeks prior. She was 51.

Judy, daughter of evangelist and broadcaster Don Gossett, was founder and senior pastor of The River at Vancouver. She was also a celebrated Gospel music singer who had joined her gift of music with such notables as Andrae Crouch, Dannibelle Hall, Reba Rambo and Donnie McGuire, Quincy Jones, Gladys Knight and Michael Jackson. She also had sung for United States President Jimmy Carter at the White House.

Judy started singing in her father's church when she was three years old. In later years, she often ministered in India, New Zealand, Australia, Kenya, South Africa, England, Argentina, Canada and Guyana.

Gossett was multi-talented as a singer, recording artist, composer, producer, author, and ordained minister of the Gospel. The first album she produced, for Christian singer Sandra Crouch, won a Grammy Award for "Best Produced Album Of The Year."

Her sudden departure left a large hole on the planet that will take several others to fill.
