EDMOND A. RICHMOND, aged 79, was a member of an old family of the Western Reserve. Mr. Richmond was a retired pharmacist. He was a member of the first class graduated from Geneva High School in 1872. He graduated from the New York School of Pharmacy, practiced in Ashtabula and Zanesville, and for 20 years at Lakeside Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.

He was born in Cherry Valley on June 7, 1853. The township of Richmond, Ashtabula County, was named in honor of the Richmond family. Mr. Richmond's father, the Reverend Silas Richmond, was pastor of the Geneva Baptist Church during the Civil War.

Mr. Richmond lived on a farm on the South Ridge road west of Madison village and had lived there during the summer, spending his winters in Florida.
