Dau's obit:

Miss Kathryne Buckner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Buckner, died Friday morning at Asheville, N.C., where she and her mother had been for the past two years for the benefit of the young lady's health. Her parents and aunt, Miss Kathryne Mourning, were at her bedside when the end came. The health of Miss Buckner had very much improved during her sojourn in Asheville, to the delight of her family and many friends. She was taken suddenly ill during the early part of December, but had showed great improvement and seemed to be recovering nicely until she suffered a heart attack soon after the first of the year and gradually grew worse until the end. The body was brought here Saturday night and taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. R. Turner. Funeral services were held there Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. N. J. Salyer, assisted by the Rev. S. A. Arnold, followed by burial in Brookside Cemetery. Miss Buckner was 24 years old and was a lovable, sweet-mannered young woman. She was endowed with noble traits of both mind and heart, causing her to be loved and admired by all with whom she came in contact. She was kind and patient to a marked degree, and those who knew her best, loved her best. Her fond mother and father and sister, Mrs. Geo. R. Turner, who soothed and comforted her in illness, have the sincerest sympathy of all in their bereavement. ~The News-Journal, Thursday, January 15, 1925
