Son of Chester Alfrey and Margaret Baynton Wortley. Dick was a child model and actor from age 9 through college. In 1953 he graduated form the University of Southern California, where he was president of Gamma Tau Chapter of Beta Theta Pi. He served in Korea and Vietnam as an intelligence officer attached to tactical air control. In 1956 he was honorably discharged with the rank of lieutenant. After working for Lockheed Aircraft Corp. in Burbank, CA. he moved to Lockheed Electronics Co., in Plainfield, NJ. and became director of contracts and administration before he retired in 1988. His hobbies included English history, reading good literature, playing bridge and gardening. Dick will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
