Laura Joyce "Dolly" Landin, 82, passed away February 5, 2005. Dolly was born February 8, 1922, in Sugar Land, Texas, and was a life-long resident of Sugar Land. She was active all of her life and delighted in her family, especially her nine grandchildren. Dolly served for 27 years as secretary of the First Presbyterian Church in Sugar Land.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Kenneth A. Landin, six sisters, and one brother.

Dolly is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Bonnie Landin of Houston, and Craig and Laurie Landin of Sugar Land; sister, Thelma "Freck" McCown of Trinity, Texas; grandsons, Lt JG Michael Landin of Norfolk, VA, Stephen Landin of Addison, Texas, Jonathan, Ian, Taylor and Colin Landin of Sugar Land; and granddaughters, Lauren Allen and husband, Nolan, of La Porte, Texas, and Mandell Landin of Sugar Land, Texas.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm. Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at the First Presbyterian Church, 502 Eldridge Road in Sugar Land, with the Rev. Kevin Keaton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Rosenberg. Visitation for friends will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2005, at the First Presbyterian Church.
