The sad news came yesterday informing us of the death of Rev. W. E. Chambliss, Tuesday morning at Salisbury, of blood poison. The remains will arrive today for burial. Deceased, years ago, was pastor of the Baptist congregation of this city and enjoyed the love of all. Truly a good man has gone.

Died

Rev. W.E. Chambliss, formerly pastor of the Baptist church in this city, died at his home in Salisbury Tuesday afternoon. He had been a sufferer for several months; his disease finally resulting in blood poisoning, which caused his death. He was buried at Shelbyville, his old home, Wednesday afternoon.

Died—At Salisbury, Mo., at the residence of Maj. Joseph Finks, April 5, Rev. W. E. Chambliss, father of the editor of the Higginsville Advance, aged 54 years. The Rev. Mr. Chambliss is spoken of in the very highest terms by all who knew him.
