Born October 14, 1941 in Oak Hill, WV, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Lillian Snyder Sampson.
Patricia was a homemaker and was of the Church of God faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tony Dean Adkins.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Lee James of Parkersburg, WV, her two sons, Alford Adkins of Lexington, NC and John Adkins of Winston-Salem, NC, her daughter, Alicia Adkins of St. Albans, WV, a step daughter, Lisa Marie Hudson of Fayetteville, a step son, Ricky Parkerson of Las Vegas, NV, one brother, George (Smokey) Sampson of Wyoming and a sister, Shelby Coleman of Sevierville, TN.
Also surviving are three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Many people considered her as a friend.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill. Burial will follow in Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
