Mr. Matson was born in Big Slough, Wisconsin on April 10, 1918 and passed away on November 2, 2004 in Spring, Texas in his home surrounded by his family. He has gone to join his beloved Julia and daughter, Nancy. Peter was proud of his 32 years working as an air traffic controller, but even happier he had 32 years of retirement.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Sandra; sons, Dr. Jack V. Matson and wife Elizabeth and Mark L. Matson and wife Alice; daughters, Dr. Marsha A. Matson and friend Dennis Ross, Ronda A. Byder and husband Calvin, and Wendy A. Martinez and husband Fernando; sister, Bernice M. Matson Fisher and husband Fred; brother, Norman A. Matson and wife LaVerl; stepson, Stephen C. Fischer M.D. and wife Patricia Watson M.D.; stepdaughters, Ann Kennedy and husband Bob and Beth Jacobs and husband David Gossett; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
