Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Hendon officiating. Burial at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 7:00-8:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, Atchison, KS and sent in care of the funeral home.
Kay was born November 21, 1933 in Atchison, KS the daughter of Kenneth and Pearl (See) Keithline. She was a 1951 graduate of Atchison High School and a member of the First Christian Church. She had been employed with Electra Manufacturing and Snowden-Mize in Atchison. She sold Avon for a number of years and was very active in her children's lives serving as a Girl Scout Leader and Room Mother. Kay enjoyed organizing her class reunions, gardening, crossword puzzles and reading novels.
She married Darwin Lauck on April 6, 1951 in Atchison, KS. He survives of the home. Additional survivors include her children Larry Lauck and his wife Merry Beth of Atchison; Carol Hurst and her husband Rodney of St. Joseph, MO and Ken Lauck of Kansas City, MO. Grandchildren Brian, Courtney and Shawn Lauck, Angela and Matthew Amthor, Ian Hurst and Broc Hurst. A great granddaughter Destiney Lauck, and sister Betty Donaldson and her husband Bill of Atchison.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
