Before his retirement in 1982, Gordon was employed at the Deming-Crane Company in Salem as a machine operator for 41 years. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII.
His wife, Beatrice Mae (Zepernick) Adams, whom he married April 12, 1946, survives him along with three sons, Donald L. (Darlene) Adams of Big Prairie, OH, Daniel W. Adams of Lisbon and Cecil Adams of Lisbon; a daughter, Shirley Jean Johansen of Leetonia; two sisters, Hazel Bruckner of Zephyrhills, Florida and Selma Carline of Salem; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a nephew, Charles "Sonny" Adams.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Coffman and three brothers, Milo Adams Jr., Richard Adams and Calvin Adams.
Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Salem Honor Guard.
