Mrs. Cargill was born in Humbolt, Neb., Sept. 24, 1877. She came west with her parents by wagon train. She married Frank Cargill in Pendleton, Ore., on Oct. 10, 1898.

They homesteaded on Nezperce Prairie in 1903. She moved to Lewiston with her husband in 1944. Following his death in 1945, she lived with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Wright.

She was a member of the Nezperce Rebekkah Lodge and the Methodist Church in Nezperce and Grangeville.

Survivors in addition to Mrs. Wright are another daughter, Mrs. Lester (Jeanne) Earp of Lewiston; six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
