Joseph Edward Grote, a 12 year resident of Valley, Washington, passed away at his home on February 19, 2013 at the age of 50. Joe was born on November 4, 1962 in Auburn, Washington to James and Elizabeth (Frey) Grote.

Joe was raised and attended school in Lake Tapps, Washington.
He met Pamela June Newman in Sumner, WA and they spent 34 years together.
In 1996 they moved to Chewelah and in 2000, relocated to the Waitts Lake area.

For many years Joe owned a commercial fence company and also spent 10 years bar tending at Sportsman's Bar And Grill (Sporty's) in Chewelah.

With his friendly, outgoing character he made friends with everyone he met. He loved hunting, camping and just spending time in the outdoors. Joe was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Joe is survived by his wife, Pam Grote of Valley, WA; son, Shaun Grote of Chewelah WA; sisters, Judy Grote of Sumner, WA, Jerri Silvernail of Orting, WA; brothers, Jim Grote of Sumner, WA, John "Butch" Grote of Bonney Lake, WA; daughter in law Geneva Grote of Chewelah, WA; grandson Michael Cameron of Spokane, WA.
