PEARL AARVIG
Funeral services for Pearl Aarvig, Story City, were held Oct 8 from Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, with the Rev. C.A. Gisselquist officiating. Burial was in Story City Cemetery. Pall bearers were Magne Idse, Richard Turner, Helge Johnson, Robert Koester, Gaylord Johnson and Arnold Peterson.
Mrs. Aarvig was born Feb. 4, 1882 in Edgewood. On Nov. 13, 1915 she a Erick Aarvig were married. They lived in St. Olaf until 1940 when they moved to Story City. Mrs. Aarvig was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City. She died Oct 5 at Story City Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, three daughters, Vera Meyers and Janice Carpenter, both of Story City and Iva Smith of Boise, Idaho; a son, Clark, Wildwood, N.J.; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
