Librada "Libby" Archuleta, 88
Capulin resident Librada "Libby" Archuleta, 88, passed away February 27, 2013 at the St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood surrounded by her loving family. Libby was born on April 16, 1924 in Capulin, Colorado the daughter of Bonifacio Trujillo and Josefa Gonzales Trujillo. Libby was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother sister and friend who enjoyed fishing, baking, quilting, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren who meant the world to her.
Survivors include her husband Geronimo Archuleta of Capulin, CO; daughters Brenda (Chris) Sandoval of Denver, CO; Judy (Ken) Holm of Anoka, MN; sons Jerry (Glenna) Archuleta, LeeRoy Archuleta and Leonard (Carla) Archuleta all of Alamosa, CO. Bonifacio (Ana) Archuleta of Laredo, TX; thirteen grandchildren April, Marissa, Courtney, Tanya, Shawn, Lee, Heather, Michelle, Michael, Jeremy, Daniel, Ashley, Jared, great-grandchildren Avery, Lucas, Trey, Bry, Deegan, Krystelle, Alora. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Libby was preceded in death by her parents, one son Larry Archuleta, five sisters Socorro Lucero, Encarnacion Cordova, Rosalia Trujillo, Rosa Trujillo, Carmen Montoya, five brothers Bartolo, Alejandro, Ramon, Juan and Alberto Trujillo.
A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Capulin. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 also at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Capulin. Interment will follow at the Capulin Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Romero Funeral Home of Alamosa.
