Albert died on Feb 25, 2013, at the age of 89, just 15 days after his wife Wilma. They were married 66 years.

Albert L. Ottinger, 89, passed away February 25, 2013.

He was born in Kansas City on November 20, 1923. The only child of Asa and Ella Ottinger, he graduated from SM North HS and KU. Al served proudly in WWII on the USS St. Louis.

He worked for GM, Amcor, and helped found the local Desco coatings. His many pursuits including renewing his Real Estate license at age 88. A lifelong Jayhawk fan and 45-year Chiefs season ticket holder.

His wife of 66 years, Wilma, preceded him in death Feb. 10. He is survived by his son Dean, his wife Starlet and grandchildren Emily and Noah.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to SHC, 5644 Charlotte St., KCMO 64110. Services will be held at Unity Temple on the Plaza, 707 W 47th, KCMO, on Friday, March 8, at 1pm; reception to follow.
