Sophia Sarah Jennings married Jefferson Davis (J.D.)Arthur in 1889. They had 8 children and 2 died in childhood. Their children were Eric, Terrell, Rua, Eppie Valera, Noble and Paul. J.D. died in 1926 and she lived in Saltillo until her death in 1941.
Their son Rua followed in J.D.'s footsteps and became the owner of the drugstore and Post Office in Saltillo until his death in 1981.
Sophia was the daughter of Susan Jordan and George Jennings.
