L. E. "Les" Hogge, 79, long time Optima resident, died in Memorial Hospital, early Monday morning.

The son of Charley and Georgia Hogge, he was born on July 4, 1904 at Muskogee, Okla. He was married to Videll Hurst on Feb. 19, 1927 at Plainview, Tex. A long time cattleman, he came to this area in 1957 to work on the Hall Ranch Southeast of Guymon, where he worked until his retirement in 1969 when they moved to Optima. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Videll, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Sonny (Earleen Mathis of Houston, Tex., Mrs. R. C. (Fritzi) Boyd of Lincoln City, Ore.; one son, Bob Hogge of Optima; two sisters, Lucille Hogge of Amarillo and Grace Lawson of Hereford, Texas; one brother, Tom Hogge of Torrance, Calif., 12 grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services are pending and will be announced by the Henson Funeral home.
