SHELBINA - Virgil Culler, 92, of Bethel, went home to be with his Lord at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, at the Bethel Methodist Church. Burial will be at Bethel Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today, April 19, at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, where there will be Masonic services at 7:45 p.m. Mr. Culler was born April 1, 1913, on the family farm near Bethel to Alva Freeman and Cora Schnaufer Culler.
He was married to Pauline Evans Bevill on April 10, 1938. She preceded him in death June 3, 1963. He was married to Violet Etta (Dollie) McClosky on May 23, 1965. She preceded him in death Jan. 31, 1973. He was later married to Marion Kathleen Gonnerman on Feb. 10, 1974. She preceded him in death Aug. 5, 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Gale Culler and Dennis Culler; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Anita Rose Culler; and one grandson.
