Mrs. Ruffie Whitley Winters, the daughter of Mr. Mills Whitley and Mrs. Georgia Bishop Whitley, was possessed of the kindest, most gentle, and most loving spirit. She sincerely loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Despite suffering immensely during the last few years of her life, when gangrene resulted in the amputation of both of her legs, she nevertheless maintained a crystal clear memory and her constant compassion and generosity.
