Haskell E. Alsup, 75, of Scottsburg, Indiana, died on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Scott Memorial Hospital.

He was born on November 4, 1937 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Herman Haskell and Mary (Applegate) Alsup.

Haskell was retired from the old American Can Company in Austin, Indiana, a member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church, the United Steel Workers Union and the Moose Family Center # 2324.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Alsup and a sister, Margaret Hobbs.

Survivors include his wife, Betty J. (Murphy) Alsup; three daughters, Monica K. Nevils and Linda Edwards both of Scottsburg, Indiana and Brenda Marlow of Trotwood, Ohio; three sons, Bill Shepherd of Trotwood, Ohio, Tommy and Rodney Boyd both of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sisters, Bonnie Simms of Austin, Indiana and Judy Napier of Scottsburg, Indiana; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
