Funeral Services were held Saturday, October 9th at 1:00 p.m. in the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial in Williams Cemetery near Warren. Officiating was Brother James Boykin. Serving as Pallbearers were her nephews, Arnold Proellochs, Randy Baisdon, Dwayne Poe, James K. Williams, Clifton Ray Poe and Eric Proellochs.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 10th from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Verna Lou was born April 3, 1919 to Emmitt & Ola Gardner Nolen in Hicksbaugh ( Tyler County), Texas. She was a loving, devoted mother and wife for many years.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Louise Allison, whom she was a devoted mother of 29 years and her loving husband, J.W. ‘Othar' Allison. She is survived by her brother, Emmitt Earl Nolen of Woodville; sisters & brothers-in-law, Miladeen & James Baisdon, Ola Vee & Arnold Proellochs and Alice Fay Poe all of Beaumont and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 105 N. Pecan, Woodville, Texas 75979.
