Charles Hettinger, World War I veteran and former Wilkes-Barre resident, died Monday in the Veterans' Hospital at Castle Point, N. Y., where he had been a patient for two years.
A native of Wilkes-Barre, Mr. Hettinger was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are a brother, George Hettinger, and a niece, Dorothy Hettinger, both of Wilkes-Barre. The funeral will be held from the Klein Funeral Home, 241 South Washington street.
