Yvonne Sinclair, 89, of Lubbock was born Sept. 25, 1923, to Charles F. and Lela Aycock in Lorenzo and passed from this life Feb. 27, 2013, in Lubbock. She moved to Lubbock with her family in 1938, graduated from Lubbock High School, and then from Texas Tech University in 1972 with a B.A. in elementary education. She taught at Lubbock's Hodges Elementary School until retiring in 1986. Yvonne Married Dixie Elgin Kid Sinclair on Oct. 12, 1941, in Lubbock. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1968. Yvonne was a member of the Melonie Park Baptist Church. She enjoyed teaching Bible study classes for a number of years. Her survivors include her son, Bobby Joe Sinclair and daughter Sharon Kay Sinclair both of Lubbock, and a number of nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials to the Melonie Park Baptist Church, 6602 Indiana Ave, Lubbock, TX 79413.
