Hazel (Bingham) Eshleman, age 106, passed from this earth on Tuesday December 2, 2014 at Farwell Care and Rehab Center in Farwell, Texas. Hazel was born on May 21, 1908 in Texico to John E and Willie (Havenhill) Bingham. Hazel enjoyed life to the fullest, from working in the fields and gardens, any new craft that came along she would have to master it. She also enjoyed travel and she and Orris had been from Alaska to Mexico on many fishing trips. Her absolute favorite thing was cooking and visiting with family and friends.
She married Orris Eshleman on October 10, 1927 at Texico, NM.
She is survived by a son Jack Eshleman (Diann) of Texico, a daughter Wanda (Eshleman) Kelley (Richard) also of Texico, 9 grandchildren; Cindy (Eshleman) Ruvolo, Carol Eshleman, Chris Eshleman, Georgia (Eshleman) Brooks, Becky (Eshleman) Hamilton, Opie Kelley, Leah (Kelley) Thorn, Kent Kelley, Peggy (Kelley) Bowman and 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Orris Eshleman, son Jay W (Buck) Eshleman, daughter-in-law Florene (May) Eshleman, and great grandson Christopher Hamilton, and her parents, 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, and a special nephew Freddy Bingham.
A viewing was held from 12-8 p.m. Thursday December 4, 2014 at Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis, NM. A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Friday December 5, 2014 at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, NM with Brother Jim Peabody and Father Alan Brockmieier officiating.
