Henry Aldous Dixon I was born in Grahamstown, South Africa, in 1835. His family emigrated to the Western United States when he was a boy. They settled in Utah County. Henry served in the Utah Territorial Militia as a private. He fought in many battles of the Blackhawk Wars as a young man, and died at the age of 49 years in the City of Provo, Utah.
