DEATHS
Mrs. Elsie G. Ivers, widow of Orin A. Ivers, who died March 7th, last, died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Billingsly at Marysville, Monday of last week at the age of thirty-nine years. Her death was due to pneumonia following an attack of Spanish influenza. The deceased was a teacher in Marshall county for twelve years, seven years an instructor in the Marysville schools. She is survived by her parents, three sisters and eight brothers, one of whom, Andrew Billingsly, formerly lived here, but is now in military service in France. She also leaves a stepson, Merrill Evers, in foreign service. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Axtell, conducted by the pastor, Rev. O. W. McProud. Interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery at Axtell.
