died July 1814 58 years old

His mother was Margaret Wright, born in 1725 in Scotland. Since her son, John Jr. was born in Winchester Fredick Va. It is safe to assume she emigrated from Scotland sometime before that date, nor if she had any relationship to her future husband John Fife Sr. (see link for more on him) at time of immigration.

Sometime after his birth, his parents moved on to the Colony of Pennsylvania, county of Allegheny finally settling in the Bethel Park area. He married Isabel Thompson date unknown. She was born in Canonsburg,in Washington County, Pa. in 1763 and died in 1854. John Jr. and Isabel had at least one child surviving into adulthood Margaret Fife born 1790.

John Jr. had a brother by the name of William Fife, possibly named after his paternal grandfather, according to one of William's descendant. They along with their father John Sr. all served in a Pennsylvania Regiment during the Revolutionary War and all survived. More information will be coming on this activity.
