Beatrice de Stafford FitzMaurice de Roos de Burley

Daughter of Sir Ralph de Stafford and Margaret de Audley. Granddaughter of Sir Edmund de Stafford and Margaret de Basset, Sir Hugh de Audley and Margaret de Clare.

Wife of Maurice FitzMaurice, 2nd Earl of Desmond, son and heir to Maurice FitzThomas and Margaret O'Brien. He died 05 June 1358 and they had no issue as Beatrice was still under age.

Secondly, wife of Sir Thomas de Roos, third son of William de Roos by Margery de Badlesmere. They married by royal licence dated 01 Jan 1359 and had four sons and two daughters; Sir John, Sir William, Thomas, Robert, Elizabeth (wife of Sir Thomas Clifford) and Margaret (wife of Sir Reynold Grey). Sir Thomas died testate at Uffington and was buried at Riveaulx. Grandmother of Sir John de Clifford, son Thomas.

Thirdly, wife of Sir Richard be Burley, son and heir to Sir John de Burley of Burley, Herefordshire and Amice de Pembridge. They married without licence before 20 August 1385, the date of the pardon for the marriage. Sir Richard died at Villalpando in Spain in 1387. They had no issue.

She was a legatee in her brother, 2nd Earl of Stafford, Hugh de Stafford's will of 1385. A gown was provided for her in order for her to attend the coronation of King Henry IV.

Beatrice had a will dated 26 June 1414,and died April 13th or 14th, 1415.
