Adeline Amelia Boehne was born on April 3, 1922 in Cold Spring, MN to William and Elizabeth (Knaus) Bernard. She married Maurice Boehne on October 20, 1951 in Cold Spring. They lived and farmed together in the Wadena area. She moved to Bemidji in October 2010 to be closer to family. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, gardening and taking care of her family. She took great pride in her grandchildren, and especially enjoyed time spent playing with them. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Bluffton, followed by membership in St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena, and was a life-time member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Adeline was preceded in death by her parents; husband Maurice; brothers Leander, Roy and Buddy; sisters Jenny, Marion, Lucille and Annabel. She is survived by son Michael (Karen) of Golden Valley; daughter Maureen (Justin) Stay of Bemidji; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers Roger Bernard of Cold Spring and Ben (Jean) Bernard of Richmond; and many nieces & nephews.
We will miss her beautiful smile.
Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren Javaun, Sophia, Landon and Weston. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren Alicia Phillips, Ryan Boehne, Jennie Boehne, Nole Stay, and Rozann Anderson.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wadena.
