Mrs. Ruby Brown Snyder, 89, of Pinnacle, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013.

She was born June 5, 1923, in Surry County to the late Bennett Jasper and Lillie Isenhour Brown.

Mrs. Snyder was a homemaker and was a member of Pinnacle Baptist Church. While her husband was serving in WWII, she contributed to the war effort by working in shipyards at both Wilmington, NC and Jacksonville, FL.

Mrs. Snyder was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Snyder who passed away in 1990; one sister, Minnie Jones; and four brothers, Harvey, Fred, Glenn and Paul Brown.

Mrs. Snyder is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Marilyn and Steve Petree and Delores Snyder, both of Winston-Salem; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Bonita Snyder of Mocksville; three grandchildren, Renea Reed, Amy Myers and David Snyder; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Brown of Siloam; one sister-in-law, Kathleen Brown of Pinnacle; and one brother-in-law, George Jones of Pinnacle.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 28, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. at Cox-Needham Chapel in Pilot Mountain, NC with Rev. Steve Hedgecock and Jeff Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Pinnacle Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pinnacle Baptist Church Perpetual Cemetery Fund, c/o Mrs. Violena Hill, 1487 Coon Road, Pinnacle, NC 27043
