Thomas Andrew Horton, 76, died early today, March 19, 1947 at his home here, after being in declining health for several years. He was a native of Holly Springs, North Carolina. He was a former mayor of McBee, SC having served several terms.
He is survived by his widow, Mary Susan Gardner Horton, one daughter, Mary Belle Horton Brown of Baker LA: one son J. Howard Horton of Charleston; one grandchild, Patricia Ann Brown of Baker, LA and two brothers, C. A. Horton of McBee and C.M. Horton of Godwin, N.C.
Funeral Services will be held at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon from McBee Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. T. H. Smith. Interment will follow in the McBee Cemetery.
