Roberta Jean Wehrly, 80, Portland, died Sunday at Persimmon Ridge in Portland.
Born to Paul and Mabel (Kunkel) Sheffer, she graduated from Portland High School in 1946.
She is survived by her husband Alva A. Wehrly, whom she married on May 4, 1947.
Retiring from Dairy Queen where she had worked from 1981 until 1990, she had worked at Beals Lunch in the 1960's, Breeze Restaurant from 1969 until 1976 and B.B. & C Bakery from 1976 to 1981.
Memberships include Zion Lutheran Church and Ruth Circle of the church.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Joyce Nuckols, Montpelier; two sons, Randy L. Wehrly and Alan D. Wehrly, both of Portland; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services are Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Strietelmeier officiating. Burial will be in Salamonia Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
