Paroled in Staunton, Va. 12 June 1865; 6'0", fair complexion, brown eyes, light hair.

OBITUARY extracts - From Confederate Veteran Magazine, 1926: "George K. Fitch, who died April 6, served with a company formed in Augusta County, and which was attached to the 12th Virginia Cavalry, Rosser's Brigade. He was a member of the Methodist Church, South, and a prominent Mason; aged eighty-two years."
George was married 16 Nov 1871 in Luray, VA to Elizabeth Ann "Bettie" Grove.
