Marie E. Evans, 91, of Woodbine, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 1990, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born May 24, 1898, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Renee Young Lindsay. She was wife of the late Raymond C. Evans, who predeceased her in April 1981. She was a member of Morgan Chapel United Methodist Church, Woodbine, and Morgan Senior Citizen Quilters. Surviving are her daughters Rhoda C. Ripley, Dorothy E. Fleming, Evelyn R. Dayhoff, Shirley E. Harrison, all of Woodbine, and Helen Green of Westminster; son Wilbur Haines of Westminster; brother John Lindsay of Westminster; sisters Carrie Bellison of Westminster and Bertha Pickett of Woodbine; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
